Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 20 (1-20 / 65)
Green flag, Zilisch blocks the inside into turn one and he holds the lead off the corner. William Byron takes over 2nd.
Lap 4, Carson Hocevar and Jeb Burton fight for space under braking into the corner. They make contact and Hocevar is hard into the tire barrier. The caution is out!
Green, Chastain and Zilisch run side by side into turn one. Zilisch clears him through the esses to hold the lead.
Lap 7, Nick Sanchez, Carson Kvapil and Sheldon Creed tangle, no caution.
3 to go, Baltazar Leguizamon is stalled and the caution is out. Zilisch pits from the lead but he’s too late.
Penalty: Zilisch will drop to the rear of the field as he hit the pit lane when pit road was closed.
